Dr. Reddy Reports a Surge in Sales and Profits

Dr. Reddy's Labs said first quarter net income jumped from $8 million to $30 million. Sales soared to $306 million up from $122 million. The big gains were driven by core business, contributions from acquisitions and generic drug sales—specifically, generic version of Merck's Zocor and Proscrar.
